Election Law
Pursuing strategic litigation through the courts to achieve equal footing and end discrimination against more than 2 million unaffiliated voters in Colorado.
Our Mission
Equal Footing for Every Colorado Voter.
The Election Law Working Group pursues strategic litigation through Colorado's courts to end the systematic discrimination against the state's more than 2 million unaffiliated voters — the largest and fastest-growing bloc of voters in Colorado.
Unaffiliated voters pay taxes, serve on juries, and participate in every civic institution — yet Colorado's election system treats them as second-class participants. We are using the courts to change that.
Strategic Litigation
Identifying and pursuing court cases that establish equal protection and due process rights for unaffiliated voters under state and federal law.
Equal Protection
Building the legal record that Colorado's election laws discriminate against 2M+ unaffiliated voters in violation of constitutional guarantees.
Legal Research
Analyzing Colorado election statutes, case law, and constitutional standards to identify the strongest litigation pathways.
Voter Advocacy
Organizing and informing unaffiliated voters about their rights and the coalition's litigation efforts on their behalf.
Join the Working Group
The Election Law Working Group meets as part of the broader KCC Working Group session every Thursday at 5:00 PM MT. All coalition members are welcome.
2 Million Voters Deserve Equal Footing.
Colorado's unaffiliated voters are the largest bloc in the state — and the most systematically disadvantaged. Join the Election Law Working Group and help us change that through the courts.
